““Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination”
– Mary Oliver
My journey with flowers started when I began gardening for my family’s landscaping company. This sparked a keen interest in flowers and plants. I loved planting and caring for the little seedlings and watching them grow. I spent my young adulthood in various places like South Carolina and Okinawa, Japan, exploring my creativity through fine art and watercolors, never imagining I could merge my artistic passion with my admiration for flowers. When I landed in Columbus, on a whim I applied to be a floral intern at Jorgensen Farms, thinking it sounded like a fun part time job. Little did I know how deeply I would come to love floral design. My fingers itched to see where each bloom would take me. After three years learning more about the wedding industry and floral design, I found my way to Prema Designs. I have been so blessed to become a part of such a hard working and enigmatic team. They have pushed me to grow in ways I never thought I could grow. My world of floral design consists of embracing seasonal blooms, allowing the flowers to lead the way, exploring organic shapes, gathering inspiration from the natural state of the flower and tying all of these aspects together with the atmosphere and direction of each event I take part in.
If you were a Bloom what would you be?
I would love to be a Japanese Anemone. They are cute, fun and playful. They also bloom around my birthday!
What would your perfect day consist of?
A slow morning, an outdoor activity, like hiking, swimming, or gardening. Time for my hobbies (knitting, watercolors, sewing, etc) and to wrap up the day, a cozy fire and a nice glass of red wine.
What are three words that describe your style?
Whimsical, organic, and intentional
